To determine your attachment style, add up your scores for each category and compare them to the following ranges:
- Secure Attachment
- High scores (4-5) in Comfort with Intimacy, Relationship Satisfaction, Conflict Management, Independence vs. Dependency, and Self-Worth.
- Low scores (1-2) in Fear of Abandonment and Avoidance of Closeness.
- Anxious Attachment
- High scores (4-5) in Fear of Abandonment and possibly Comfort with Intimacy, but low scores (1-2) in Relationship Satisfaction, Conflict Management, and Self-Worth.
- Avoidant Attachment
- High scores (4-5) in Avoidance of Closeness and possibly Independence vs. Dependency, but low scores (1-2) in Comfort with Intimacy, Relationship Satisfaction, and Self-Worth.
- Disorganized Attachment
- Mixed high scores (4-5) in both Fear of Abandonment and Avoidance of Closeness, indicating a struggle with intimacy and trust, coupled with potentially low scores (1-2) in Relationship Satisfaction, Conflict Management, and Self-Worth.
